Default Quick Help on Torque Specs

Does anyone have the torque specs for the transmission to engine bolts? I will be damned if I can find them anywhere. If there is a good thread/location for all specs that would be awesome because I am sure I will need more.

997.2 workshop manual has the torque specs. PM me with your email. I can send you the transmission/engine section.

if in doubt, use bolt diameter and look at torque spec for that size bolt.
it is usually the same

63 ft lbs. Source: Jake Raby's Fastening Specs for the 997 booklet. You need this.

63 ft lbs for most...the fasteners in the 5 oclock and 7 oclock positions are only 34 ft lbs.

I wasn't sure if the M10 x 50 (34 ft lb) bolt/nuts were only used for trans mounting. Raby lists three transmissions; G97, A97, and CG1. There are different quantities for each one.

The OP did not list which he has. Best to get the book and see locations.

One manual transmission, two automatic transmission (PDK and Tiptronic). The Tipt is a Mercedes box which has different mounting pattern and needs an intermediate plate to connect to the engine.

I do not have a complete set of specs for all the nuts and bolts so I just use fastener bolt grades and shank size to come up with a torque that will be good enough. You are at this long enough, you will develop a feel for when it is tight enough. Not everything needs to be done at 1% torque accuracy (never is).
