Air Filter: BMC vs. Stock
Hey all,
I have a 997.1 C2S, only mod is Fabspeed mufflers. Replacing the air filter and was going to stay with stock. Any credence to going with BMC https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/por...r-bmc-fb156-01
I don't have plans to really modify the engine.

I do not recommend any type of oil type air filter. Even the small quantities of oil pulled off of the gauze will deposit itself on the MAF film sensor. Not a good thing.
Hengst, Mahle and Mann are what I look for. FCP sells those and they are lifetime replaceable with FCP.

If running the stock airbox, not really any reason to run anything but the stock filter. Some mods prevent the use of the stock airbox (like different decklids or Turbo spoilers) and then you have to run an open air intake, but otherwise, stock filter is fine.
