So in an earlier post someone made a comment about - and I am paraphrasing here - whether I'm an idiot or I know more than I let on
Well gentleman - got both struts and carriers and mounts back on without removing the coffin arms - you be the judge of my success and decide whether I'm an idiot or an idiot
Hint look at the sway bar and look at the bolt where the front control arm will connect to the coffin arm

Passenger side is done
Did not need to replace the brake line. It bent back into form by itself. I have the brake line and I'll keep an eye on it.
Only damage I did was a paint chip on the fender. I hit the shock mount there by accident
I also earned something.
I'm never getting center locks. Not that I'll ever sell this car, but 340 ft/lbs and I think I was rotating the earth. I can't imagine 444 - though now I have the proper torque wrench so if anyone needs their center locks tightened come on over.

I quit. So I put the tires on and heard some running on the drivers side. Turns out I didn't tighten the brake shield completely. Caliper and rotor back off and make it right. Wake up this AM and lift the car to do the final torque on the control arm. Turns out you can't reach the bolts from under the car on the 4 post lift. This job in never gonna end.

Don't know. Maybe find a different hobby. I'm considering prostitutes and drugs.
So to torque the control arm you have to unhook the abs and wheel spend sensors. I did that. But then forgot to hook them back up so I had to take the wheels off twice.
So let's recap
$1200 parts
$250 new tools
1246 hours of labor
3 minor injuries
And after my test drive the result is...
I traded a clunk on the left front for a squeak when I turn right.

It takes 3 squeaks to = 1 clunk so you've come out of this a winner!!!
I think it was Bruce who sprayed the entire front suspension with WD40 (or something) to get rid of a squeak. I'm sure he'll correct me if my memory is wrong 😀

I shouldn't tell you this but...
So short test drive was perfect.
Long test drive not so much. Got a new clunk.
The only thing that isn't new are the coffin arms.
But I'm debating about throwing in the towel and taking it to a shop.
I did fix the original clunk. It was the bearing. Steering is way way way better.
