Default New 997 Owner

Hi everyone, recently picked up an 05 997. Have been active on the 996 form prior, had a .1 aero car, and had (2) Turbos prior. Very happy to be in the 997. Have a strong clean car, no bore scoring (per my scope) and a ton of maintenance from previous owner. Working on setting up an IMS solution, as I have the serviceable bearing. Also have sourced a 997 aero bumper and am working on a 997.2 GT3 full decklid. Plan on tackling injectors, clutch flywheel, oil cooler, UAOS and a new FVD X pipe when I see service for the IMS.

Look forward to good discussion in the 997 forms. More photos to come as I continue to make my 997 mine. Will update in a month as I retrofit the car to the aero parts!

Congrats and welcome. Injector replacement is more important in the .2 DFI motors, but can't hurt in the .1. Have two 05s myself - great cars.

Congrats from a fellow 05 owner! Don't forget to replace the battery/starter cable while you're in there.

Haven’t grabbed many photos yet, but figured I can add a few more and do a little better!

Congratulations and welcome to 997 club!
Nice you will tackle soon those known tricky areas. For replacing the AOS, (and correct me if I’m wrong as I did not checked recently), but I believe that the UAOS only suits the 996.
Meanwhile, enjoy your new ride!

Congratulations. Looks like you got a lot of new goodies planned. Please keep this thread going when you get the Aerokit installed.

Per LNs site it looks like they are for both the 996-and 997.1 cars. I’m pretty sure the 997.2 dfi cars had a different setup altogether, but don’t quote me! I did the uaos on my 996, definitely looking to add it to the 997. Added Ln link below
