Default Unknown rubber grommet..?

Hi,

found this part loose under the carpet, under the cabrio roof storage area (while filling up some hydraulic fluid for the roof mechanism) on my 2009 C2S 997.2

Problem is, I can’t find the part in the parts catalog nor anywhere on the web?!?

Am I simply just reading it wrong?
Any ideas where it should go?

To me it says: 999 702 247 40.

Googleing this and I get 0 hits..

Thanks for any clues!

2009 C2S 179K miles

My catalog has one number different... for a grommet used for the airbox. I have removed my airbox, and inadvertently popped them out having them drop to the ground. Just maybe. You could remove your airbox and take a look.

For drainage grommets, they usually have a slot cut in one side to allow water to drain... usually.

Peace

Thanks Bruce, I found the same, think you are referring to this one, which looks slightly different, pictured here:

I will take another look around the area where found to see if I can find a place for it!

It looks like the ones under the air cleaner.

100% that the previous 3 posts are accurate...

I replaced mine last time I changed my air filters as I pulled the airbox... there are 2 of them... and they are $1.24 each!
