WELCOME
Weclome to the Club! Great information and people here to help with most of your questions - I have only driven 911 since 1981 and never looked back - they have been my DD ever since, as my Father use to say " You can't Miss, what you never had"

That is a masterpiece man!!!! That has a full aero kit + side skirts + gt3 vents?!? That is my dream set up.
OEM aero kit or purchased? Hopefully next year(once I take care of required maintenance items) I'd like to buy a OEM aerokit. I've only seen the front bumper on Suncoast and getty design rear spoiler.

Congratulations! I’m always amazed at the willpower of so many of you who are willing to wait and wait before they get their 911. Many will tell you that the MY06 was truly the best for the 997 and thus you will discover that you have more power than the others of that generation. (Joking). The shifter by the factory is officially referred to as a “Sport Shifter” and not Sport SHORT shifter. Alas, it is a bit of a shorter throw, but want you to be on the same page as Zuffenhausen! And clock your center caps or we won’t talk to you. (Joke 2). Enjoy. Now, you are a real man. (Joke 3).

As for the MY06, as I've said here more than once, my -06 C4S has been the most reliable 997 so far out of the three I've owned. No problems with it even worth mentioning. Just general upkeep. Can't think of a single part that needed replacement except for tires, oil, filters and windshield wipers. Very solid car up to around 45K miles when I traded it.
Congrats! I just bought my first Porsche 3 weeks ago, a 997.1 Carrera S Cabriolet 60K miles. Love it. Solid as a rock. Why didnt buy one 10 years ago instead of a BMW M3...damn me...
If it makes you feel any better I bought two M3's before my first 997. Looking back, I'm really not sure why. I could have afforded at least a base 997 when buying the second M3 but I guess I wanted more than a base 997 so got a totally decked out low mile M3 instead. Wouldn't call it a mistake that I'll regret and ponder over for the rest of my life but if I could do it again it would be different.

When I started my YT channel, I just wanted to document stuff I did to my cars to help give visibility into my choices/thought process for others.
Today is a huge milestone for me and definitely couldn't have done it without the Porsche community!!
I am officially sponsored by Adams Polishes(detailing company based in Denver) and they are allowing me to give away a ton of different detailing kits!!
Check out the video below for details and check out my IG @thedavidfigs
Trying Adam's Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating on my Porsche 911 997!
It's only been a few months of ownership with my 997 but I definitely noticed the huge support I've received since purchasing it.
So thank you all 🙏
