997.2 GT3 Bumper + GT3 3rd radiator install question.

997.2 GT3 Bumper + GT3 3rd radiator install question.
I'm currently in the middle of installing the 997.2 GT3 bumper along with the correct GT3 Radiator. I did my research and purchased every single nut and bolt before starting the swap, or so I thought. My car is a 997.2 C2S so some items do carry over.I have the GT3 bumper, all the grills and retaining frames, L, R, C air guides, GT3 radiator with correct brackets/air guides, etc. As I was going through the assembly, I notices an issue with the Homelink garage door module which needs to be relocated along with the emergency release actuator (from inside frunk). The actuator I can remove since I don't think you can actually fit a person in the frunk. I also don't think the euro spec cars even have it TO BEGIN WITH. After a ton of research I ran across a photo of a 997.3 GR3RS which showed the homelink module relocated under the passenger side headlight. For the life of me I cannot find the part number for the necessary bracket or the correct 997.2 GT3/RS front emergency actuator. Below is the photo of what I'm referring to from another post. Had anyone found a solution that's done the swap or can be kind enough to provide a part number for the above parts?

I don’t believe the GT3 uses the chimney and doesn’t move the Homelink or Emergency Frunk release. I am doing the exact thing you are doing now! I removed the home link and the emergency frunk release and I could not install the chimney(997.504.489.81) going up to the smile vent due to the air conditioning line that goes across the front behind the aluminum bumper. In fact I searched the PET and don’t believe the standard GT3 uses the chimney and Porsche just lets the air flow from the radiator mount up to the smile vent. The only place I found the chimney was on the Cup car and the GT3RS, in your picture the GT3RS(I believe that’s what that car is) uses a different air conditioning line.

With the Homelink module and emergency release removed I was able install the upper vent and test fit the bumper. I can confirm that it does fit without modification, despite the AC line routing. I will take a few photos once the bumper is off again in the next few days. I do know for certain that both the 997.2 GT3 and RS both do use the upper vent piece. They also both have Homelink and the emergency inner frunk release actuator since it's a requirement. I'm also curious if you're able to trim the original side radiator shrouds and make them work well without purchasing actual GT3 pieces with larger openings.

Figured I'd give you guys an update after I had a chance to tidy up under the bumper cover. In order for the upper air guise to fit you will have to remove the emergency trunk release actuator (from inside the frunk) and relocate the Homelink garage door opener module if you have one. Both are mounted on the same bracket. Euro cars do not have that actuator so I just removed it altogether. I also found a perfect spot inside the crash bar to relocate the Homelink module where it fits very snug. Everything is buttoned up, the upper bumper exit air guide now fits without further modification.

Out of curiosity what year is your car? Mine is a 2010 C2S and the reason I ask is you have 2 studs to mount the ductwork to that don't exist on my car. When I install the part it pushes out unless I hold it place and you have the studs to bolt it in to. I didn't realize they were there on some cars is the reason I said I didn't think the Chimney was used on 997.2. I will have to install those studs to use the duct. Thanks for your pictures you helped me out a lot!

Top air vent
Hi,
How did you fit the top air vent duct (chimney) piece with the AC pipe in place? did you have to cut the duct?
Understand that there's another version of the AC pipe that runs behind the radiator bracket so as to fit the vent duct.
Thanks.

Late to the game, but i need to do the up-venting GT3 front/3rd radiator (instead of the down-venting C2S aero-kit).
@QuackBack or @Capt Steve can you post here or DM me your part list for the correct brackets, hoses and other mounting parts for the GT3 flow ? Thanks in advance !

In case those guys aren't checking here any more (this is an old thread)... i've done some more research and was able to find a parts catalog for 997 GT3/RS ... here are some parts from the GT3RS MY2007-2011 (source: https://www.stuttcars.com/wp-content...2007-2011-.pdf)
Interesting that none of these have that 'chimney' air guide part shown/listed.
Edit: check out the 2nd to last part number ... https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...c&SVSVSI=12546

For those using the CSF radiator.....what model on did you get? I'm having troubles with fitment to the retaining frame . It's not sitting flush and flat but the bottom sticks out by 1/2 inch.
I have the csf 7053.
thanks

yea, that's the one i'm going with (about to start in on this project once more parts arrive).
can you share some photos of where/how it is not fitting properly ?
did you get the GT3 retraining frame (lower and main/rear) ?
it is a different part number than my current C2S Aerokit...
edit: are you working on a 997.1 or .2 ?

I'm working with the parts list you listed on Post #12. There are 2 parts list available. I made a mistake ordering from the earlier list and realized it was incorrect. the 3 main pcs fit together fine and onto the front end. the radiator is not flush with the main support bracket.
The top fits and the unit fits ...in the opening but the sides doesn't give enough room on the bottom.
I would have to cut this angle out to make it fit. I don't think its a big deal but I rather have a fitting part.
This is the gap of the bottom.
