997s on 18” wheels
Looking to get some 18s for my 997.1 C2S.
is there a thread for this already?
if not, anyone know what’s available? I’m looking for 11.5-12” in the rear.
post some pics if you’ve got them.
I’m curious about widths, offsets, tire sizes/availability, fitment, suspension (lowered/stock ride height)
Show me what you got!

Check out Apex wheels:

I am rocking SM-10s but I am C4 / turbo width so it's bit different
18 x 8.5" F and 11" R
245 F / 295 R Michelin PSS
For C2 if you go 11" R 60-65et is perfect for 295 or 305s or 12" 60et if you run 305 to 325s
Depending on tire and height , some camber maybe needed , I am on Feal 441+ Swift coilover set - it's a good setup for the money and easily rebuildable / upgradable.

More cushion on the training shoes vs the stiff stilettos that are fitted as standard on most cars today.
i would go with 17s if they would fit around my brakes.

I was talking to Ryan at apex today.
Unfortunately, after reviewing the abysmal tire selection for 18s, I’m afraid I might have to stick with 19s.:/ I’m conflicted.

The 19" Lobster Forks (Carrera 2) are lighter than many other 19" wheels and not much more weighty than some of the 18"
Here's a weight chart for wheels/tires--->Reading German a plus:

I've got the 18" Carrera III wheels for summer on my 997 C2 and I love them. They're so light, look right on the car and the car rides amazingly on them. Handling, I have zero complaints about either. The 265 rear Bridgestone Potenza Sport has enough grip for the chassis but still slides progressively if you push it, and the 235 fronts keep the steering light and talkative. I wouldn't dream of putting a different combo on my car.
My winters are 17" and fit fine over the brakes. Not sure what that would do to the handling though, since my winters are pretty aggressive Nokian snow tires. Can't really make a comparison there, but the car does ride really nicely over crappy roads.
