Default DME Analysis Needed Please

Helping a friend buy a 997, does anything look off here? My rule of thumb is just nothing in the 5/6 range. I always swore i would learn how to read these things but it hasn't happened yet

Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Others will chime in however Bore Scope Inspection and DME report on Camshaft Deviation #'s important.
Also doesn't seem to be an over rev reading for Range 6?

Im no expert but Ive sucked up a bit of understanding (think). 1-3 are no worries, I think 4s are ok assuming there aren't many and they are old.

From my reading the range 4 over revs happened at the start of this cars life and has since had over 1000 hours of operation so those range 4 over revs caused no big harm.

Thank you! Does the 6.92 mean it was during hour 6.92 of the engines life?

That early in the motors life plus identical readings in ranges 4 & 5 smacks of a data glitch, IMO. I would not be worried.

I'm no expert either but my service advisor at the dealership told me once that Porsche will CPO cars with DME dings up to 2. Anything 3 and above, no CPO. For what it's worth. If true it says something about how Porsche looks at over revs.

I was told anything 4 and over would not qualify for CPO. That tells me there’s no consistency. Regardless, theses are now old cars and CPO doesn’t apply(some of the last 997s might still be CPO worthy), and in the case of the OP the higher range ignitions were a long time ago.
