id like new OLED tails, but none of them really have me running out to buy. It’s like there are around 4-5 different versions and none of them are done 100% the way I’d like. If you could put the best of all 5 together, that would get me to spend the money

So...I got a leather wrapped console and side panels on the center stack from heavysmash on ebay - perfect fitment and amazing quality - it's clearly brand new leather on what is most likely a used console, so you can't tell at all. The leather is gorgeous as is the stitching. I won't go into what all is included but it's everything when you buy from him, everything attached to the console...EVERYTHING!!!! As for the steering wheel, did that as well - think mine is from a Macan, can't be sure, looks amazing and an easy install. You can get the wheel and airbag from atlanticship on ebay, about $1500. As for the tails, I went with the fan favorite, DEPO - found a set on ebay and they work perfectly and are the closest to OEM you'll find and of course, easy install. And I also bought a set of Turbo rims...guess where? ebay!!!!!! So yes, I've done almost everything you're looking to do. And yes, I had my bumper, hood and fenders painted and added xpel ppf after.

DSC controller and Eibach lowering springs went on today by RennSport KC. I like the look. End of driveway will be a challenge... No comment yet on DSC as it was raining.

Softronic Tune still in progress, waiting on modified file. 7/15 spacers have been ordered and will go on at the end of the month. Also prepping for my first HPDE event at Heartland next month!

Now just need to find a good audio shop in KC area to make some adjustments on the Helix DSP and upgrade the speakers.

Installed 7mm/15mm spacers. Along with the lowering springs I think it's looking pretty good now.

Also cleared an airbag code thats been my nemesis for 5 months. Had to pull the bumper off and replace a sensor. Thank god RennSportKC has reasonable rates.

I am taking her to the track for the 1st time this weekend, PCA event @ Heartlands in Topeka KS. Stop by to say hello if you are there too!

Forgot to mention, combonation of new springs and DSC has done wonders for this car. No floating or unruliness when hitting bumps at speeds - especially when turning. Next to numeric shifter the best bang for buck for fun and performance.

2 year update!

After running into a plethora of error codes during HPDE in the spring of 2022 I found out the car had bore scoring. It was described as in the early stages and I've continued to enjoy the car since, but haven't been able to track it. I knew early on that I'd either sell the car (problematic given the need to disclose) or upgrade it when rebuilding. I looked at FSI but their Stage 2 builds post-COVID were incredibly hard to slot into (3 years I heard now) and 39K. Last summer I started seeing posts about a new option, @SlakkerRacingDev using Hartech technology. One build thread in particular - @steveP911 - gave me confidence in them as I watched his rebuild thread over the the last few months. The price was much more reasonable then FSI and their level of engagement on RL and information on their website was refreshing.

I'm doing much of the basics of what Steve did - the 4.1 conversion, deep sump + guard plate, "Power Package" with plenum + GT3 TB, and new clutch. I sent over the deposit this morning and await the parts before dropping the car off in 6-8 weeks. I'm equal parts excited and horrified at my financial decisions

Default Dropoff!

Took a road trip to Slakker Racing in OKC today to drop her off for the rebuild. Brandon gave a neat tour of the shop, seems like business is booming.

Now I go cold turkey while I wait 8-10 weeks, gonna be tough with the nice summer weather. I have hopes of making HPDE towards end of September at Ozarks International.

I am sorry you are going through an engine re-build, but looks exciting all the same. Can't wait to see more posts by SlakkerRacingDev, looks like a top rate shop.

Heads are reconditioned and ready for skimming and blocks are having the old cylinders removed to prep for the new Hartech closed deck nikasil plated replacement cylinders.

Nice, I appreciate the update. I'm interested to see your take on how bad (or not) the scoring was.

No bore scoring. All the cylinders were smooth. 1,2,4, & 6 were starting to show ovality issues of .004"+. Main bearings show a decent amount of wear but fairly even. Piston 6 had enough heat to peel some coating off the skirt but again, no scoring issues. Rod bearings for cyl 1 and 2 are worn down to the copper (3rd layer) which would have been my biggest concern and most likely point of future failure.

I didn't expect that given 2 shops diagnosed it, but I recall you stating elsewhere a % of engines you work don't have scoring when it was expected, so I'm not completely surprised.
