Your mention of chemicals in your post brings back lots of old memories in the darkroom. Spent many hours pushing/pulling Plus-X or Tri-X. Using fine grain developers/etc. I assisted a few Fashion Photogs in NYC while attending college and printed for them.
Amazing how far we have come since the film shooting days and how Digital Photography has change the Photography world. Hard to explain to people how fun it was in the darkroom printing processing & printing B&W film/photos.
Reminds me of the 1st huge fight I had with my wife 20 years ago when I purchased a used Winnebago which I wanted to convert into a Mobile Darkroom with 5 enlargers. She thought I lost my mind.
My idea was after hanging up my Fashion Photog Biz I would teach B&W film dev & printing to High School kids since most schools eliminated Photography Programs. Even had business card made
I would have the Winni set up so it could be parked in schools parking lot and just needed to be plugged into outlet at the High School - Tanks built in for 12v pressure water & holding tanks.
Never got it off the ground and sold Winnebego to Dogsled owner who converted it into kennels for his races.
