As many of you know I sold my 997.2 to Shift.com. I had it listed online for sale for $48,900 and they gave me $51,350 - plus I didn’t need to smog it or deal with anything else. Overall it was a great transaction from my side. They now have it listed on their site for $57,950. I can’t believe they’ll get anyone to buy it for that price - but you never know.
What did SHift charge you for their sellers service fee?? I read it is 8% - Is the $51,350 what you wound up with in your pocket?
Lets be realistic
PDK, 84,000 miles + Shift service fee for $58K price??
Looks like they need to take a lesson from Zillow
Way overpriced and market saturated with Cabriolets for the winter. Not to mention PDK

Thats exactly why I took their money and ran - I think I got the better end of the deal. It’s a very clean car and mechanically it’s perfect. But I don’t think in a private party sale I could get more than I did from them.
They will almost certainly have to take less than $57k for it --
However... by all historical measures, the current sellers market for 911's of all types is wild and irrational. That car will definitely sell. Higher miles, but looks like good bones.

They don’t charge a “sellers fee”. They bought the car from me - it’s not a consignment situation. They own it now. $51,350 was what they paid me for the car.

I read they charge an 8% fee but perhaps that's if it is consigned deal
Good for you selling it to them. I'm all for selling for highest dollar unless I'm the one buying it
Thanks Groove- I read that too after you mentioned it but I didn’t see that on their website, it was in an article written in 2016 so maybe they changed their model. Either way - the way it worked is I put my VIN into their form on the website and it told me what their offer was. I was surprised with the number but scheduled the inspection and they came out, inspected the car and took it away within an hour. I had the money wired into my account in about 48 hours.
Put in your VIN and let me know what they will give you for your car- I’m curious if mine was a fluke.
They won't lose $ on it. 997.2 are in demand, PDK only eliminates a small % of buyers, and 84k miles in 12 years is better IMO than a super low mileage garage queen, especially if its gonna be driven hard and not just washed and looked at.

I wish I could put in my Vin# ---> Sold my car in August and currently looking for one.
Used car dealer friend surfs the Internet constantly to stay abreast of pricing. They are actively marking cars up as they sit on the lot to keep pace with the market. Inventory consists of late model euro stuff primarily.
Hah! I just sent on shift.com and they said they can't buy my car... guessing it's because it's too old? 2005 C2S w/55k on it...
Same thing here with my ‘06. Just for the heck of it, I went to Carvana. They offered my a generous $35k for my unmodded low mileage manual transmission car. I think I’ll keep it ;-)
