Default New owner. New mods coming.

Hi all,

This is my thread for the first 2 weeks of ownership mods on order to change my factory as my buddy calls it ‘ dull dentist daily driver’ to my cheap mods to make it mine to start. Pics will be coming soon.

- currently getting the Turbo wheels gloss powder coated gloss black.
- new clear stone guards.
- black PORSCHE side stripe
- Emc2 991 front lip
- 50% ceramic window tint
- Laminex black tinted headlight and turn signal film
- 8mm and 15mm ECS Tuning wheel spacers

I trying to budget and not do the Gundo hack and short shift until next spring.

New owner that’s excited and had to share with someone that understands.

Very nice. Congrats. To each their own but I think you're budgeting the most rewarding mods at the bottom of the list next spring. The difference in exhaust note and the difference between stock and short shift will both give you instant reward you will sense every time you drive the car. What you have planned ahead of those mods seem to be mostly cosmetic. But then....if the looks of the car is more important to you than the feel of of it then by all means go with your instinct. Just another take on your mod plan fwiw.

Just wanted to show a quick pic of the update. I’ll take some better pics when I have time. I decided against the Laminex tinted headlights abs and against the window tint. I did add the front lip spoiler, may be hard to see with the shadow. Visually I think I’m done. Next is the short shifter. I hope it’s subtle, yet distinctive enough.

Looks like you have a very similar car to mine - I have a 2005 C2S Cabrio in Seal Grey with Turbo rims but not black. Love it. If you want to go further, you can look at what I did on the facebook 997 enthusiasts group. Got my car back in September, first 911 and did the engine mounts, transmission mount inserts from function first, PTX trasmission fluid swap, DEPO tail lights, numeric short shifter and full leather console and side panels, and painted my stereo stack black. And a new Alpine head unit with backup cam and sirius XM module. Oh, and a new 991 steering wheel and airbag. I have NO experience wrenching on cars and did all but the transmission mounts myself. And the ECM2 front lip as well. Careful with those, the clips break pretty easily if you hit something hard but they have repair clips for them

I would love to see some interior pics, especially the steering wheel and discuss sourcing and cost. And you’re right, the cats do look very similar
