Motul x-cess vs x-cess gen2- Not another which oil thread
Hi-
I have used x-cess 5w-40 in the past on my 997.2 4S.
I ordered a 5 ltr jug of c-cess and received x-cess gen2.
have asked the seller about this….
Since i plan to use the few quarts from the previous time, can these 2 be mixed.
looking at the specs, I cant tell any major difference.
Thank you!
Foes anyone have experience/thoughts.

By the time you pay for an oil analysis you are 2/3 the way there to a new 5L jug. I'd ask motul if they can be mixed, but I am fairly certain the answer is yes. Probably a small tweak to formulation to conform to testing specs, something a standard oil analysis wouldn't pick up. I'd run it without out a second thought or if your really worried and Motul won't answer then buy a second jug.

VOA = Virgin Oil Analysis to compare the difference in compositions. For example, the original Motul referenced here here does not contain Molybendum(MB) whereas the new formula may contain it for reduction of wearing of metals. There was a link to a VOA report of the major brands a while back here, but this new Motul is probably not included, but the old one was. As far as mixing, probably, no harm -try contacting them.
