I've always been a huge fan of the Falken Azenis but they weren't available when I needed tires for my 997. That's another example of 8.5/10 performance for a much better price. They were the go-to tires on my BMW //M car daily drivers. Track days are another story with all of my comments, by the way.

On my 997 I've been through the Michelins, the Bridgestones and the Contis. Michelins are by far the best, but not at 35-40% more cost on my daily driver (the key being that these are every day tires). The Bridgetones were garbage, noisy, hard, and wore out quicker than the other brands, and the Contis were better than Bridgestone, but no where near as good as the General G-max.

This is just my impression though....
