My OEM pads seem to have the same slider opening as the new Brembo pads. I wonder if maybe the metal plate on the pads is slightly smaller, thus putting less pressure on the clip? If you didn't have any luck with new clips, then I might try to bend mine to be firmer instead of replacing with new.
