Default Different Suspension? convertible vs coupe

Its time for me to replace my tired suspension and I've run into some discrepancies. For my needs the KW V1 coilover seems to fit the bill however the kit w/o PASM says for convertible only on some websites.

I am wondering if anyone has some information to share on this topic. I've done some searching but using "convertible vs coupe" leads to buying advice. Thanks,

Which model of 997 do you have (.1, .2, coupe, cab, base, S, NA, turbo, etc.) ?

If you're interested, you can download the detailed parts catalog (a.k.a. PET) from Porsche and check to see if there's meaningful differences between the Coupe and corresponding Cab suspension components. More details here: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...he-s-site.html

I'd go to KW as they're the source-of-truth on their parts, their site should be able to tell you what's compatible or not for your model. I had a brief look, and their site does say they only have products for the Cab version of base 997.2 Carrera. If you select Carrera S, they have parts for both the Coupe and Cab.

On the flip side, if you pick this version of the V1 (without PASM), it lists 997.2 base Coupe has being a compatible car at the bottom of the page

https://www.kwsuspensions.com/catalo...15/category/4/

I'd give them a call...

Karl.

its because all cars have different weights; narrow, wide body, coupe, cab. manual, automatic
H&R has different #s for each car on their parts chart

This. Convertible weighs more, therefore typically has stiffer springs.

Top mounts and spring diameters may also be different so if a kit assumes you'll be reusing your existing top mounts the spring diameters would need to be compatible with them.
