Updated parts catalogs (PET) on Porsche's site
EDIT: The original links stopped working in late 2019, but campbesi dug up the new links (thanks!). The following has been updated with those new links...
Hi folks,
The parts catalogs (a.k.a. PET) have been updated on Porsche's sites since the last time I looked. The catalogs vary by region. Here's a few example launch pages:
US - https://www.porsche.com/usa/accessor...artscatalogue/
UK - https://www.porsche.com/uk/accessori...artscatalogue/
Germany - https://www.porsche.com/germany/acce...artscatalogue/
International - https://www.porsche.com/internationa...artscatalogue/
Once you land on one of the above, scroll down to see the pull-down menus.
Just a FYI in case you wanted to download the latest versions available.
Karl.

BTW, I recommend actually downloading a copy of the catalog for your car. I have on rare occasions seen them come-n-go (a while back I was looking for a 996 GT3 part, related to brake ducts, and that catalog wasn't available at the time).
But as of this past weekend, they all seem to be there.

Good stuff indeed. Updated my copy.
Last time I checked the Porsche site only listed 996 and older.
I recommend grabbing the 997, 997 GT3, and 997 Turbo since a) they are different, and b) it's useful to compare parts across various models.

Adobe Reader.... these Porsche parts PDFs don't allow me to highlight and copy a part number.... why? Anyone point me to some utility to allow for this?

FYI..... I just went to order some door screws and the part number in the latest Katalog has been superceeded. So the 2009-2012 catalog is not that up-to-date. FWIW.

I'm not seeing 997.2, only 997 2005-2008?

This is borne out by personal experience. One year ago following a failed emissions test, the dealer diagnosed a defunct catalytic converter.
There were no replacement OEM Porsche catalytic converters in Porsche USA's inventory or parts supply chain.
The dealer had to order one direct from the factory in Germany. It took fourteen (14) weeks for the part to be manufactured and shipped to the dealer. The car sat at the dealer for most of last summer waiting for Porsche to make a single catalytic converter. Now I know why.
Seemed bizarre at the time. Still does.
Wondered if anyone else has had trouble sourcing discontinued or scarce parts for the 997.1 and 997.2 cars.
