I'm wondering how many are out there. Anyone else have a Slate Grey with factory Aero kit like mine? Or seen one. I'd love to know how rare or popular this color was in 2008.
2008 997 C4S. It has a $114,140 MSRP so I know that's got to be high considering my 2007 C4S had a 98k build.

Former member. I had a 2006 C2S cab from 2015-2019 that was slate gray with a sand beige interior. I loved the color but wound up selling it for a 2009 GT Silver with cocoa interior.

 

I love my slate gray especially with the terra cotta interior - it just pops!

 

Mine is a 2007 C2S- frankly, as a rule, I don't care for gray cars but this shade is understated and complements the car nicely.

 

 

Love me some Slate Gray, but +1 on GT Silver + Cocoa.

I've been hunting my car for the better part of 5 years. I came across this one at one point but couldn't get the guy to sell it.

It's the only other aero kit slate grey I've seen.

 

My 06 C4s with factory X51 is slate grey metallic! I've removed the regular seats and installed a pair of Adaptive Sports Seats, and I'm trying to sell or trade away the Carrera Sport wheels too.

I was all chuffed when a local PCA member told me that Steve McQueen spec'd his cars in slate grey - but the slate grey back in the '60s was a flatter tone compared to the current slate grey metallic.

There's a gorgeous 991 911R in slate grey with some Steve McQueen specific cues on it, in France I believe.

 

That -X51 adds a pretty penny to the build sheet. What was it $10,500?

 

I thought it was $15k? Depends where you bought it I suppose. My car was a US market car, but has spent a lot of its life here in Canada now. I know I didn't pay for the X51! Nice to have now. I've been told the airbox alone is worth about US$3k or so.
