What a great first P car. Install Eibach pro springs and drop it 1 inch. Looks amazing and improves the ride and handling. Enjoy,

About six months ago Wifey told me that I needed to stop settling and find the the Porsche that I’ve wanted. Up until then I settled for other cars which were nice, but was not a Porsche. So I started with trying to determine which generation to buy. I looked seriously at 996s, 997s and 991s. I narrowed it down between Between the 997 and the 991 generation, but ultimately decided that the 997 was closer in look and size to the air cooled cars (which I love).
So, then I had to decide what I wanted in a 997. I preferred a 997.2 but was open to 997.1s also. At first I was only looking at C2S models, but then came to the decision that I would consider non S models as well.
I honestly was not expecting it, but I lucked out and found it locally from a guy that has a long history with owning 911s. I was checking the various vehicle search sites multiple times a day because I missed out on three other cars. The morning the car posted online, I send a note to the owner, which turned into a 90 minute conversation. I drove down that same afternoon and to see the vehicle and test drive. We agreed to purchase terms that same afternoon contingent on the PPI, which took place a few days later.
Since I bought her, the wife and I have taken a few drives over the past weekend. She loves riding in it. She has spent more time in this car than she did in my 2017 Camaro 2SS, which I had for over 3 years.
The car is fairly basic. The main options that it came with are: 19” S wheels, leather sports seats, sports exhaust, pdk, Bose sound package, bluetooth, XM radio, and universal audio interface.
At this point, I’m not going to do too much until I’ve enjoyed my car in its current form. I may look at suspension, and/or wheels in a year or so.

Congrats! All of this is very similar to my path in finding my C2!

Again, you won't get the timer on the dash which is useless anyway so no big loss. What you will get though is what matters which is sport and sport plus mode which completely changes the character and performance of the PDK.....for the better in a big way.
Personally I wouldn't own a PDK car without Sport Chrono. Last I heard it's about $1,200 - $1,300 installed. I'd be in a state of shock if you do this and then regret having done it. https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/9X7SM.html
