Replaced my prior Dynavin unit with the latest Dynavin N7 Pro which gives me AppleCar play. The earlier version allowed me to stream music from my phone but I’m used to the CarPlay so wanted to add that. Also added a back up camera.
I’m selling the other Dynavin unit for $400 if anyone is interested. It’s about 2 years old. The CarPlay version is $899. Both systems look identical.
The installer also converted the power outlet in the passenger footwell to a USB por
t. Very happy with the outcome. Here are some pics.
It was installed in Walnut Creek- CA( Bay area) by a shop called Bay Radio and Alarm. Owners name is Fernando. His team did a great job and had some good ideas (like the USB plug). For installation it was surprisingly affordable- just under $500 including the back up camera.
That is a really clean install and more modern than even the unit in my 2016 Macan which has the same outdated PCM as my 2010 911.
Thanks! I’m really pleased with it. You might want to call Dynavin (their US distributor is in California) and ask if they have a solution for you. I’ve spoken with them a few times and they were very helpful. Jeff is the name of the owner and he’s very knowledgeable.
That may be the best setup I've seen. I don't care about Android Auto or Carplay - maybe I should buy your old one, but I already have a Dension kit on my PCM2.1 which really does what I need it do and need another project like a hole in the head. Does it work with the steering wheel controls?
I had an Alpine Wireless CarPlay deck in my 996 and hated the lack of ****. It’s hard to find buttons when you’re driving.

Yes, they are supposed to work with steering controls.
