Only the Turbo S was PDK. Turbos were available in either PDK or manuals.
The 991 speedster was only available as a manuals
and not offered with PDK, to go along with the sportier nature of that offering. The 997 speedster was available with a manual or PDK.
The 991 speedster is probably the best looking 911 from the last 20 years and the prices reflect that, at roughly double what current 997 GTSs sell for.
997 Speedster was PDK only.
991 Speedster had an MSRP of more than 2.5x that of the 997 GTS to begin with, and sale prices relative to its typical build plus ADM aren’t actually as strong as some other models. Last PTS speedster sold for 125% of msrp vs 136% for the last PTS 991 GT3 Touring on BaT.
Maybe. But I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 130+ for it. And the black 6K mile one on BAT is going to go for ludicrous money, I'll bet.
You're probably right. The 6k mile one is already at $90k with six days to go. Never understood the bidders who dive in and compete so early in the auction. It's really pointless bidding until the very end.
The seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) transmission transmits power to the rear axle with a limited-slip differential lock, also included as standard equipment. A six-speed manual transmission is not available.

Porsche may have realized that blunder by developing a Race Division 6MT for the 991 R and then making that box the sole option on the 991 Speedster.
As far as the 997.2 range, both the turbo and turbo S versions produced too much torque for the Aisin 6MT of the Carrera and GTS. A Getrag 6MT was used, slightly different from the GT version-but most were PDK optioned cars.
I believe the AWD of the turbo was in response to the reputation of the RWD 997.2 GT2 RS, which could be a handful on boost.

Is that really a GTS? Brake rotors look tiny and rotors aren't ceramics even though the calipers are yellow, black faced gauges, plastic dash, lots of fender gap, and no engine photos from above or below. Looks like a base 997.2 Carrera with aftermarket wing and maybe a centerlock conversion.

Ad says it was listed a year ago. Long gone if it is what it says it is.
