GTS Cars For Sale On The Web

Another ambitious RF ask: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...icle/714363871
Beautiful build, manual, low miles and in one of my favourite colours, with painted seat backs and interior trim to match. Looks like there are only six 4 GTS manual coupes in. blue.

Doug Tabbutt said it right, “Porsche owners have become Corvette owners with more money”. At a certain point the exclusivity game just becomes a bunch of (mostly) guys trying to impress other guys with how rare their car is.
After all, I am the owner of a 1 of 1 997 Turbo S - Meteor Grey over Sea Blue Coupe…

Agreed, but there are far worse vices for guys than wasting our money on rare Porsches!
Ryan has realized that if he just collects all the rare/PTS/CXX cars the right buyer will come along eventually and pay just about any price.

The RF car is a rarer color, but has no full learther, PCCB , Aerokit or other features that might fetch $120K, let alone $140K.
The MSRP is $121K, the Brooklyn Auto C4 GTS in same color, listed above was asking $130K, and it's MSRPisr $10K less.

Green seems to be becoming the new blue when it comes to some classic / sports car premiums for colour, but since there are no green 997 GTS cars, I still think blue is the most desirable of all of the non-PTS colours. That plus the manual and low mileage mean he will probably get his $130+.

For the sake of all GTS owners, I hope it sells for 130. That is a healthy premium over the valuation index I have used for manual GTS coupes: selling at or above MSRP. When the majority of our cars start selling at that price point, you know you've made it from a classic/collectibility standpoint.
Very debatable whether aerokit cars actually bring higher sales prices, at least when it comes to their record on the auction sites. Either way, I can't see RF even considering selling this car for less than $130, however crazy that sounds.

Isn't a GT3 about that same price, and is RWD and has an aerokit? I'm not sure why anyone would buy a 997 GTS over a 997 GT3. That GT3 engine is fantastic and has coilovers. At $130k, a GT3 wins for sportier and a turbo wins for less sporty with more comfort with way more power & more torque. The GTS nestles between the Carreras and these top level models - once the price gets up next to those, I don't see it.

Not sure where you're buying a low mileage 997 GT3 for $130k, definitely not a 997.2. The most recent BaT sale was $193k for a 21k mile example. Regardless, it's just a different buyer for a GTS / Turbo / GT3, and for many of us the GTS is peak Carrera, with the perfect balance of steering feel, analogue goodness and daily usability.
...And back seats!

That must be a Canadian car - the pricing for that build would be more like $125k US I think. Edited to add: yes, Carfax shows it's a Canadian car, so that $145k is a CAD price.
Here's a nice GT Silver C4 GTS model with only 24,000 miles on it. PDK though, but a beauty! Original sticker price is at a whopping $145k!?

maybe can compare a high mile 7.1GT3 but it’s the daily drivability for most. Most can’t handle a gt3 everyday (I’ve daily driven one for years on and off... A GTS is a great fun/cruisers/comfortable.
turbo is turbo and awd and much heavier, Many of us don’t want that. They’re all great in diff ways.
I have a 7.2 GTS PDK and 7.1 GT3. Very different cars. Never wanted a turbo and I’ve driven them, great cars just different.

Nice rebuttal to @Petza914.
A GT3, as stated ad nauseam, is a track car that one can legally drive on the street.
A GTS is a road car that can be driven on a track- occasionally and with the understanding that it requires many mods to become a competitive track weapon.
(Take a look at @nwGTS mod thread)
And, as you stated, a turbo is a different animal.
The 997 GTS is a limited production version of the Carrera with an X51 kit, CL wheels, Alcantara interior, wide-body and an NA engine.
Rear seats, sound deadening, supple suspension and no wing (except optional Aerokit) are nods to comfort and understatement.
It lives up to the Grand Tourismo Sport designation- while the GT3/GT2 are pure "Sport" and minimal "Touring".
It is unique in the 997.2 lineup as the sole available NA, 6MT, RWD, wide-body other than the GT3 RS 3.8/4.0 models.
