One market that did surprise me was the C7 market over the last year especially for Grandsport and Z06 examples. Traditionally these do hold value better over your typical base automatic Corvette, but these have appreciated significantly over the last 10 months (it was expected to drop hard with the launch of the C8). Many C8 buyers "dumped" their Grandsports for mid 40's last year. Same car today is going for 58-62k with miles. A manual C7 are especially in high demand with only 15% of total C7 production optioned with a manual transmission and C8 having no manual option. I bought a brand new C7 Grandsport 7M with Z07 package off a dealer showroom floor in 2017 for 65k (9k off MSRP) to daily drive. Could be Covid market or perhaps the last front engine Corvette with manual transmission is having a positive result. It will be interesting to watch the next year. I personally do not believe the 997 market will drop again.
Yea, C7s went down because of the C8, and are now going back up because of the C8. There was a lot of hype about it before it was released and everyone had to have one. Now that they're common and not all that spectacular, the C7 classic Corvette recipe is desirable again. You got yours at just the right time. I'd rather have a C7 Z06 or ZR1 than a C8, as I don't find the C8 particularly unique or attractive and at its price point, they are and will be everywhere.

Poorly maintained cars will probably never get close to that while well cared for cars may exceed it. Cant' recall a post by someone with a 997 with more than 130K or 140K miles on it. Which means nothing since those posting here represents such a small percentage of total 997 owners.

I bet there's at least one 997 out there somewhere with 200K miles or more on the clock.
Well I'm gonna knock on wood as soon as I post this, BUT my 09' C4S I bought at 148K last Summer with a stack of records and proper receipts for maintenance and history of all three known owners is currently sitting with 154K!! It has used 1.5 quarts of oil in the past 5K (driven over four months!) which I think is more than acceptable. About to send a sample off to Blackstone soon when I change it so hopefully it has a good report. It doesn't leak a drop of oil, pulls like a freight train and has been the best DD so far! I did the plugs and coil-packs recently. I will continue to maintain the fastidious care it has received its whole life and keep driving well past 200K! I hope to be one those 200K owners! These 997's are SO good if properly maintained, warmed up properly, etc. Mileage be damned. I think I must be in the 1% though. I absolutely LOVE this car!

I agree! But the ones that hold the price the best are macadian brown...I own a 997.2, 42K miles 4S Cab. PDK, originally from San Diego and serviced last in Palm Desert.
We imported to Canada back in early 2014, and only driven it about 12K Miles, awesome car! Somewhat makes up for my 993.
I will be putting it up for sale in early spring.
