@PV997 I didn't put enough detail on the electronic control unit-it looks like they checked the connection but did not replace it.

Removal of driver side interior to access control unit
check connection to control unit connector clean and pin tension check
reinstalled vehicle interior (control unit cover, carpet, door sill, driver's seat)

It was surprising to me that there was an oil leak discovered and also that the transmission fluids were noted to be low so soon after the 30K inspection at another dealer.
Just curious, how long did you have to wait to have the failed PDK replaced? Don't know if you've seen it but there's a thread going about my car sitting with a failed PDK. I'm told the only option is to have a new one shipped in from Germany as there are none available in the entire US.

Yes, but look at your time line. It seems that your dealer did not even conclude you needed a new pdk and even order a new pdk until around October 28 and you had the car back by November 11. That is around 14 days to order, receive and replace. Did they pull yours from the US or was it shipped from Germany?

Sandwedge is talking about 3 to 4 weeks just to get one delivered after ordering?

I would assume its a different transmission. This was for a Turbo S and not a S, GTS etc. It may have been in stock, part number is listed above.

You may be right. I was thinking they were the same, but gearing may be different. I dunno. Easy to figure out.

My buddy just texted me that they recently replaced one on a NA car . . . Said they had to get it from Germany. So much for this buddy never having seen one.

Yup, the turbo PDK has slightly different gearing, heavy duty clutches, and some of the internals beefed up. It's got a different PN.

Yup, excited to be behind the wheel!
It was mentioned above that sandwedge will have an independent repair shop put in his transmission.
How can an independent do that if you need to calibrate the PDK with PIWIS?

Lots of Indies have PIWIS. Many Indies are Porsche trained.
