@sandwedge im not entirely sure what the technicalities were. He just said he had to pay for it

With that you have to assume that either the truck driver was uninsured or the Porsche driver really was at fault. I sure as hell wouldn't be held responsible and pay for all that body work if I wasn't at fault and the truck driver had good insurance. Either way, major ding on the carfax report, never mind diminished value. A lot of 997 buyers won't even consider that car unless drastically discounted.
