Hello

I have a 2006 997
Its been running great.

I have been having a random issue.
Sometimes while driving I will feel like the engine is not responding to the gas pedal

and then like 10 seconds later back to normal

You'll think I'm crazy, but replace the brake switch on the pedal. I've had this happen in both my 997.1 cars. It's because for safety, the brakes are not only designed to overpower the acceleration capability, but if there a malfunction in the throttle circuit, activating the brakes electronically limits and shuts down the acceleration capability of the car so you can get it stopped. Your brake switch is sending that signal randomly and why you can't accelerate until it stops since it's intermittent.

+1 for Petza - there are several posts dealing with the same symptom and the brake switch cure.

Hi,

This issue sounds just like what I am experiencing in my 06 997.1 Carrera S.

This "Brake Switch", can Petza914 or someone provide the part number and where to find the part in the car?

Thanks in advance!

Switch # is 99661311302.

It's located on the brake pedal.
