Spacers are for appearance, only. Unless you're named 'patrick long".

PROS- looks better???? Just buy wheels with the proper offset, and skip the spacers.
CONS- weight....more wear & tear on wheel bearings.....more w&t on body and bumper [since the wheels sit further out].....helps to fit wheels on car with incorrect offset.

PO already did:
Audio/Bluetooth, wish they had reconnected the subwoofer...

Mod's I've done:
1. Properly stickered driver side rear window +3hp (ea)
2. Added door stripes +10seat-hp
3. DSC +0hp, -harsh bumps (could have skipped this since they just repaved the road I needed it for most - just kidding it's a great add to the car.

Mods I'd like:
1. Numeric Shifter
2. Fister cans
3. Red seatbelts - I just want them ok!

I got my C2S to be a daily driver that I can have some fun in when I am not working. It is mostly a daily though. At this point, I have a clear picture of what I have done and would do with the goal of it being a daily. If I could only do 3 mods:
1. Coilovers (for a daily, probably the Bilstein Damtronics). <--- Handling for me is always #1.
2. PSE or Fisters (because sounds). <---- I want to LOVE the way any car I own sounds, even if it is a Civic.
3. The top 2 are crucial. For the last one, I am going to go with a really hott Wheel and Tire package. <--- with the suspension, the biggest visual impact and personalization that also benefits handling is a really nice tire and wheel package IMO. Wheels can totally make or break a car's looks. I have had cars where the tire and wheel package are so beautiful, I can just sit next to my car for hours looking at it from different angles. People tell me I am weird. They have not had the right car with the right set up.

Using my 07 Targa 4S in Nordic Gold as an example these were my 1st 3 mods:
1- full audio upgrade: Kenwood, Focal, JL Audio, complete sound deadening and custom enclosures
2- exhaust: complete Fabspeed system
3- short shifter: Numeric shift kit with cables.

That was the 1st 6 weeks of my ownership and I don’t regret any of it.

Would probably be # 1 for me too with a manual. Had the B&M short shifter on my -06 C4S which is not the top of the line short shifter based on reviews but still made a huge difference. As I recall it I think they advertise a 40% reduction in throw. Really changed the character of driving the car. Proper install seems critical though. Lots of stories here over the years of people doing their own install and hated the result. So I left the install to my dealership and they absolutely nailed it.

Those who have a half a$$ installment done one way or the other always seem to complain about lack of smoothness and difficulties shifting in general. Mine was the exact opposite. I could shift using two finger tips even from first to second when cold.

The tech who did my install said it took him three test drives to get it it just right to where he wanted it though. Small adjustments of the cables make all the difference if you know what you're doing based on what he told me.

I had a great tech in NJ and would never let anyone else touch it. He's the one that talked me into the SS although it didn't take much persuasion. I have another great tech here in FL. I've had such bad experiences with independents over the many years I've owned Porsches (30+) I just stick with the dealer and the one tech I love.
