Default Emblem-less Deckled?

Folks the "Carrera S" emblem on my decklid is starting to get tired but considering going w/o one -- appreciate any pics, for some reason hard for me to image as any 997 I've seen has one. Thinking is partly cost (~$100 for the Carrera and S) and I like the simplicity of going with nothing.

I'm really liking the look -- did the old emblem leave any residue etc or pretty easy to clean off?

Put 4S on it, and plasti-dip the S in red, think it’d look way cool

2009 C2S 158k miles

The end of my emblem broke on my 2000 Boxster S.... I never replaced it. My emblem on my current C2S is fine but I kinda would like for it to break off too. It is a pain to clean around and in it. No value as far as I am concerned but I just can't bring myself to remove it.

To remove it, use some dental floss and then you can roll it up, then use a mild abrasive polish to remove any remaining marks.

Peace

Not bad looking at all. I agree on washing. Easy to catch emblem with towel.

James, I see your in Pasadena Texas. I am in Beaumont. Looks like I'll be getting hit hard by Hurricane Laura. You will likely get some of that too since your not that far from me. Yes this is off topic but please stay safe. Not looking forward to Thursday at 1:00 am.

Ideas in a thread a few posts down. Link

I think it looks a little open and missing something without anything there. Not a fan of the Carrera cursive. I went with the P O R S C H E which some don't like. To each their own, its your car.

My vote goes for a new one painted body colored. It'll look debadged to the naked eye but still have a nice look when someone who knows sees it.

I also like the de-badged look. The obvious adhesive gunk comes off pretty easily but what about the “ghosting” that’s still there? Anyone have a remedy for removing that?
