HELP! On my wife's 06- 911-997.1 cabriolet the passenger window stops about one inch short.

I've had similar issues. Intermittent. Several people discussed it here:

Hope it helps.

Default Here’s a Thread to Reprogram Your Window

You should be able to fix this with a simple reprogram of the window. I had the same problem last year and I found a thread on the 996 forum that lays out the simple steps. Here’s my post that links to the thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...ogramming.html

If you can’t be bothered to go through the links to the other posts, here are the steps that worked for me:

1. Hold the window button down 10 seconds after full down
2. Then hold the window button up 10 seconds after full up
3. Then hold the window button down 10 seconds again after full down.

This works on my 997.2 so give it a whirl and save yourself a trip to the Stealership

Or.....it’s a bad micro switch in the door. I’ve replaced it on a Boxster. A bit of a PIA, but very much DIY

If it's the switch, based on PET Online, the p/n is 997-613-153-05A-05. Online prices are in the $120 range.
