Hi looking at a 08 c2 and on the test drive the owner told me the sport mode button doesn't light up (or engage) he wasn’t sure.... I tried it both ways and couldn’t really feel a difference in throttle response. I’m not used to the car so really don’t know if it was on or off? Perhaps it’s stuck “on” and it’s just the light burnt out???

Any insight or experience with this would be much appreciated. The car is going in for a PPi on Monday, and perhaps they can figure it out 🤷‍♂️

 

If you didn't feel a difference, it isn't just the "light on the button" that isn't working. You will notice an obvious change in ride and throttle mapping/tip in.

Hopefully the PPI will provide some clarity. I'm sure they will hook up a scanner and any codes will be identified and explained. I can't help but think this will flag. Good luck.

 

I purchased the car and it’s still not working. Unfortunately the mechanic at the PPI didn’t have time to diagnose. The car is perfect otherwise so went through with the purchase but would still like to figure this out. Any ideas before I break down and take it in?

 

When on, it will say SPORT in the center of the instrument cluster. Does it have heated seats and if so do they work? Could be this:
