Update, the third attempt solved the problem. It was definitely the HPFP. Problem solved and all is well. To guys like me, the support and insight of the members of this forum are priceless. Thanks to all.

Hi all, while replacing my HPFP and lowering the engine I snapped my engine mount bolt. I know this is a long shot but does anyone have a pair of extra engine mounts for sale? I'm in Norther California around Sacramento.

I have a pair of original mounts that are in pretty good shape - 11 years old (25k miles) but I think they still have life in them. If you’re willing to pay for shipping, happy to send them to you. Feel free to PM me.

HI @bradnic ,
did you see post #25 in this thread?
It's basically wax based lubricant for the thread, not a sealant.
Proper joint stress depends on torque applied and the coeficient of friction of the lubricated part surfaces, carefully worked out by our favorite german car boffins.

Cheers

I actually did after posting.. makes sense. I had already picked up some Gasiola per my post, so stuck with that. Happy to report the HPFP replacement works beautifully.

Are these pumps available anywhere? Being told they’re on nationwide back order, and have been for months.

I actually may have found a bulk supply. I just ordered a sample and will test it out on my car before offering it up to RL members for a group buy.

Update: First sample was not any good. Now looking into a source to rebuild OEM pumps.

Today my Indy told me Porsche has said they will not be avail until 2025. He said prior to that, Feb/Mar was their date.

If true, this is bad news. My car has the long start when cold (but no codes) so I’m not sure how long it will be until (or if) it gives…

Can confirm this behavior as mine did this when the pump failed 80 miles from home. It went into restricted power mode but got us home OK.

Followed this thread including the coolant plug shortcut. All good. After installation the pump was working just fine but I did run into an P1025 fuel pump adaptation. In case someone else bumps into this after restarting, it's related to the battery being disconnected. The fix is simple but I didn't see it within this thread.

Without touching the throttle pedal turn the car on but do not start the engine. Leave it for at least 60 sec. Turn the key back to off. Then start the car and drive. It should clear. Don't clear this with your code reader as it resets the adaptation.

Is this a useable tool for the fuel system pump process after HPFP install? I have looked in my tool and don't see anywhere to start a fuel pump etc. I am going to be pissed if I purchased a diagnostic/reset tool only. I thought I bought the better tool. Who's the tool now....
