Folks,
I'm going to put Coco Mats into my 997 C4S. One of the features that the Coco Mats folks will add are attachments/grommets/velcro for holding the mats in place. My car has no feature to hold the current mats in place. My previous 997 had velcro pads that screwed into the floor and connected with velcro on the bottom of the mats. I would appreciate your suggestions on how to properly secure Coco Mats in a car without existing attachments.
Thanks!
Scott

Torch,
Thank you. That's exactly what my '06 had. There were holes in the carpet/flooring that the velcro pads screwed into. I just double checked and verified that my '08 C4S does not have holes to screw into.
Does anybody know if the holes are created the first time these pads are used?
Thanks.

Is it the original carpet? I imagine there's some type of plastic t-nut that can slide in the carpet for the pads to anchor into.

The velcro screws just go through the floor carpet -- there is no t-nut or anchor underneath as far as I can tell. They just spin freely once threaded through the carpet, but they don't back out (unless you pull up and unscrew).

Sounds like the velcro is easy enough to add, but my $0.02 -- I put velcro pads on my driver side, but no attachment add-on for the passenger mat. Based on the rigidity and perfect fit of the mats, the passenger mat without velcro/fasteners really doesn't move at all. You could give it a try without adding velcro to the car, but order velco on the mats as contingency in case you add the car piece later.

Add wheels to it or you can buy a kit:
