Default WTB: 997.2 C2s Coupe 6MT

Hi, I've been keeping an eye out for a 997.2 C2s for a while now. I'm looking for the following spec:

Model: Carrera S, 2wd (I will consider a base C2 if it has PASM, a LSD, adaptive sport seats, and preferred exterior color)
Body Style: Coupe only
Transmission: 6MT only
Exterior Color: Green, Blue, Red, Yellow, Cream, Brown, Purple. No black, grey, or silver (this has been the hardest part). I'm open to all bright colors. Ideal would be a PRG over brown/tan interior.
Mileage: <50,000 miles
Preferred Options: PASM, LSD, adaptive sport seats or comfort seats with cooling, PSE, Power + memory seat

Thank You

Good luck, you'll need it. And fast to move if something right shows up, many folks out there looking for the same thing and willing to throw money at a car with minimal fuss.

That green is pretty rare in a manual. There was a year (i'm not of which 997.2) PRG was the launch color. But all the launches I think were PDK, came with carbon buckets too. Those move around a few times a year, they're out there. I don't think I've ever seen a PRG .2 manual. I always say check PCA, pay the money for the test drive program unless you have another Porsche. Those are the people you wan't to buy a car from.

Yeah. There have been a few 6MT PRGs for sale. None optioned the way I want, but I'm wondering now if I should have just bought it. I think there was one for sale in FL for a while.
I saw a launch car in person when looking at GT4s and I realized how awesome of a combo it was.

Here is a low mileage example C2. Put Eibach springs on it and you will be good to go.

I’m always surprised how many don’t want black or silver. My 997.2 is the former and my 955 the latter. I’m retired now and rarely drive either. Hope you find the right car in the right color and config 👍

Right. The 2009 launch C2S was PRG and had PDK. Did not have the carbon buckets though. The meteor grey 2009 C4S launch did. Not sure what seats the C2S came with but it wasn't the buckets. Tough to find a PRG 997 in any configuration. If I had to guess I'd say that most of the few circulating out there are the -09 launch cars with PDK.

Thanks for the link! I wonder why this didn't show up on my Cargurus search. Do base Carrera's come with the adaptive dampers? I want to make sure I can put a DSC module on the car in the future.

Thanks! I'm more just tired of seeing a see of silver, grey, and black cars on the road. Also I dread keeping a black car looking perfect.

In 2009, the base models did not have PASM but it could have been ordered for $1,990.

As noted the base model does not have PASM. My car is a base model without PASM but the Eibach springs totally transformed my car. The ride and handling is better than stock and since its a progressive spring it will be comfortable at lower speeds and corner and handle better at high speed. It was the best thing I ever did to my car. Plus it lowers the car 1 inch giving it the perfect stance. No PASM needed.

As Sandwedge mentioned above, if you find a PRG manual car you should jump on it. If you are willing to wait for a PRG car, I wouldn't wait on one regardless of options, honestly. They are very rare, and I echo his comment about launch editions likely comprising most. As an example, I wasn't looking for a PTS car, but I was looking for a dark blue over tan full leather manual C2S and it took me 2 years to find; those are more readily available than PRG. If you will be happy with all the other colors you listed, I'm sure you'll find one within the space of a year - just have to be on the search daily or nearly daily. Best of luck with your hunting!

I’ve got an ‘11 C2S PRG with manual and black interior, and I think I’ve only seen one other in that configuration. PRG cars do not come around very often, let alone with a manual.

Thanks. I've been waking up and checking my cargurus, Rennlist, and PCA Mart browsers tabs first thing when I wake up every day for many months now. I'm just getting impatient I think. I would love a dark blue over tan interior as well.
