Default Exhaust popping/gurgle. I want that.

Today I'm running along side a 991 GTS in stop and go traffic. Incredible aftermarket exhaust note. At around 20 mph decellerating, it pops and gurgles like crazy {in a good way}. How is this possible? I'd love my car to do that.
Its very addictive sounding.

What car and exhaust do you currently have?

Tune. All the after market tunes can get this done for you. Retard the timing, add fuel. Done.

Someone is bound to say it but that is most likely programmed in. A tune would do it. For the natural side, fisters accentuated it for me. I plan headers in the future, which I assume will enhance natural pops and gurgles but the replicable ones are an ECU tune. I have heard softronics can add this to a tune but I have not seen it firsthand.

I get a nice gurgling and popping sound with my 997.2 4s PDK with aftermarket IPE valved exhaust mufflers, especially on a rapid deceleration in sport or sport+ as i take a sharp turn.

Not that stupid sound in the video posted above, let me be clear.

If my car sounded the way that guy’s car does in the video I would sell it. That sounds terrible.

I have FABSPEEDs /// on a .1 C4 and nowhere near gnarly. No intake, or programming. Stock new cats. Dissatisfied.

I failed to mention the Shark Werks bypass on my 997.2 4s.

I get that sound with the Fister Sport Exhaust combined with Billy Boat center muffler delete pipes. I know the sound you are referring to. It’s my favorite part of my current setup. I get it upon de acceleration. Don’t get it at speed, but from 3rd to 2nd cruising fairly slow, within speed limits.

note that the tuned in ones sound the same every time. That is super fun for a week or so, or at least it was driving my friend's F80 ZCP with MPE. Then, at some point, I turned it to the mode without that nonsense. Right now, I like the non-replicable noises my car makes. I also noticed int the 2 GT3RS I have ridden shot gun in (997.2 + 991), the had a tight tune with no snap, crackle, pops. Just saying. I did forget to mention earlier that adding 200 cell cats to what I mention above may add more of the natural gurgle and break up/overrun on decel with a performance tune NOT designed to replicate the same sounds every time. BTW, this is actually SUPER annoying in my area because every chingadera t00ner has this now, even on civics and GTIs not to mention every model of BMW...
