Default Carbon door sills

I got tired of seeing my plastic oem door sills all scratched And looking like they needed a refurb, so I decided to pull them out all together and replace with some carbon ones. I had seen the Porsche ones which were about $1000, so I got some made up and added the newer 991 door sill decal.
Hardest part was getting the old ones off and then cleaning all the gunk that stayed on the sill!
Anyway really happy with how they turned out, now waiting on getting my inner sill/switch covers back from having them re-trimmed in leather.
That should finish off the sill refurb completely

Looks great! Can you share how you had them made? Would love to do this also. Thanks in advance.

Did you make the decals also? Is there anyplace that makes them besides the usual oe parts stores? I want to do that same font in black on the door edge of .2 4s. Looks real good, enjoy in good health.

Need details on both the sills and the leather trimming of the inner sills. Costs and where would be appreciated immensely.

Thanks for the replies guys, I had these sills made up for me by a buddy of mine that does lots of carbon work on racing motorbikes.

I had seen these: https://www.carbonlution.com/store/p...rsche_997.html
Not a bad price for a dry carbon weave when you compare them to the OEM ones, can’t comment on the quality or fit but they look good, I would have probably gone for these if my buddy didn’t have the time to do them for me.

The decal I had made up, I think any printing store can knock these up once they have an image of the decal, I copied the decal from this site: https://lezebre.lu/porsche-decals/?sl=en
(Last page, door decal)

The decal is originally from the 991 rear end/door sill, I had them made up in silver to match the carbon weave.

Those look great. Nice job.

While they're still brand new consider having them clear-bra'd to prevent them from getting scuffed and scratched by peoples shoes as they get in and out.

I have the OEM long carbon outer sills and added carbon inner seals. Much better than the crappy inner plastic ones.

Thanks Pete, that was on my to do list for sure. I really like the longer carbon ones, but couldn’t justify the $$$ I had seen some used GT3 ones, but didn’t know if I could sand off the GT3 emblem without damaging the carbon, so I just went for a not to shabby second
