The Subie would definitely jump out in front of the 911 S at least up until about 75 mph. My STI has around 375whp and loads of torque but everything falls off around 5200rpm and there's very little top end power. Love the feeling of the 911 S NA power! The 911 power curve is much more linear and I like it.

Hey Alex, Congrats and welcome to the club. I was a JDM car fan for many years before getting bitten by the Porsche bug. I never looked back after that. You have officially taken the red pill and will never look at cars the same again. Enjoy in good health!!
When I had my stock STI on the dyno, it only put down ~240hp at the wheels (gotta love that AWD powertrain loss). Right now, I have it tuned @ ~375whp and it feels great but the 911 S definitely feels much nicer in the higher RPMs. STI has the edge in low end power/torque but the 911 really soars in the mid/top end. This 2015 STI is my 3rd Subaru and 2nd STI but I was ready for a change and I've always wanted a 911.

I recently did a similar swap. Finally unloaded my modified Evo 9 for a low mileage 2008 C2S. The Evo was certainly faster, but the Porsche driving experience is so much more enjoyable for me right now. Happy to be back in an NA rwd car, even if it is a little slower.

Nice! Yeah, at full boost my STI definitely pulls harder than the 911 but I've really been enjoying this new driving experience!

Hey dude! I sold my STI and I still miss it sometimes, especially now that there's a bunch of snow on the ground. I still don't regret the switch to a 911!!

I understand and currently own both a 911 Turbo S and a 2017 STI. I previously owned a 2007 STI that I modified beyond usefulness and sold. Although, have been able to keep this one at stage 2 for 30K++ miles.

Also very happy to hear that you still enjoy the 911. While I am hesitant to sell the subaru, a 997 C4S would be a keen replacement to the STI and a compliment to the TTS.

My 2015 STI Launch Edition had 40k+ miles on stock block. I went stage 2 + protune at 5k miles and installed a Blouch turbo, bigger injectors, etc etc (bunch of other supporting mods) and had it re-tuned for the past 15k miles. My STI was great fun, especially at the track. Hopefully this year I'll have time to get my Carrera S track ready and get to Mid-Ohio!
