I recently bought a 2007 Carrera S with approx 40000 Miles on it.
Trying to use my Corona off time from work, i started work on installing Eibach lowering springs.
Started in the front (lhs), everything went smooth until i was goding to remove the strut mount plate. Its completely stuck on the shock, i have tried just about everything i can think of. -Except heating, -Car has PASM, so heating isnt such a god idea....
*Does anyone know if the oem strut mount plate center is metal or plastic? -I ordered new ones, but didnt recieve them yet.
*Will i ever be able to get it off, or should i start to look for a god used strut assembly??
Get some spring compressors on there as that might let go with some force when you get it loose - Coronavirus might be the least of your worries if you get hit with a flying strut mount.......
Did you loosen the top nut before you took them off the car?
