The standard 3rd rad kit is all you need. And it does vent down. You will need to use a dremel tool on the bottom of the bumper cover to make the vents. The outlines for the vent holes are on the bumper.

Porsche Oakland is now Porsche Livermore. They moved around ‘08 or ‘09. I bought my Cayman from Oakland and they moved to Livermore soon after my purchase and most of my services was done in Livermore.
I make it out to a few c&c around the greater Bay Area. If you remember to PM the next time you head out to one I would love to see your car up close

I have aerokit and 3rd rad (due to x51). Seems to work
Does anyone know if you can use a center radiator kit with the aerokit bumper? If so, do you need to use the standard radiator kit or the GT3 radiator components? I am guessing the aerokit will vent down like the standard setup (vs up for the GT3). Is there anything you need in addition to the aerokit and the center radiator kit to make these work together?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I have 7/17 on currently. Been debating on moving up to 10 or 12 in the front. Not sure if over 17 is worth it. Just don’t know.
I have the 3rd radiator installed. I did not cut out holes as there is an inch gap on the back side of the under tray.

Center/3rd radiator kit absolutely works with the aerokit bumper. I sourced mine from Pelican Parts and with the PCA discount, it was $189...this has to be the least expensive/highest value purchase ever for a Porsche. The kit is complete and the car is already plumbed for installation. I suspect the radiator is factory-installed on X51 and warm climate cars? I did not install the screening on my car as many do; I like the 'open mouth' appearance. Elevate the nose of the car as high as you can as it will minimize the amount of coolant lost during the installation. Note that there are markings on the new hoses that indicate where they are (and in which direction) they are installed. As mentioned, there are 4 outlines on the inside of the aerokit bumper that you'll want to remove. I drilled all 4 corners and used a Dremel with a cut-wheel to cut out the vents, used a file to clean-up the cuts, and a black marker to color the edges where I made the cuts for a more finished appearance.
Refill the coolant tank and drive the car LOCALLY to get it up to temp and allow the thermostat to open. You'll need to return to the garage and top it off. I bought coolant from Suncoast.

Thanks for the pics and info! I can't get over the price of the 997.1 third rad. So cheap! I have a 997.2 though and for some reason the third rad kit is around $1,000. I think I saw something a while back saying you could use the .1 kit in a .2 but I can't find it anymore.

The 997.2 kit includes various shrouds to make it work, thus the extra expense.
