997 Aerokit Picture Thread
#121
Quick Question: I have a new in box OEM aerokit front bumper with the matching lip. I believe the factory setup is to paint the lip with the same paint as the bumper but mine is going to get scraped so I was wanting to go a different route and also I prefer to have a different texture of the lip that more resembles an unpainted black plastic material. Both the bumper and lip are smooth and primered. I was thinking of spraying the lip with black plastidip. Has anyone had good success/results with doing that? Any other options I should be considering?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I actually looked into it but the aerokit lip has the proper brake duct openings that will feed into the standard 997's brake duct system. GT3 and RS cars have a completely different ducting setup, and the lip will completely block flow to the stock ducts of the regular 997. Plus I also don't want to spend any more for now.

Interesting - I have never tried black trim paint. Thank you! What brand did you go with?

I see you have OZ wheels on your car.
Looks good.
1. What size rims and tires?
2. PASM or SPASM?
3. OEM or aftermarket suspension parts?
4. Any clearance issues at full lock or in a tight turn with elevation/bank changes?
Thanks for any info you can provide. I have a set of OZ's, yet to be mounted on my 997 GTS. (Covid related delay.)
P.S. Do you get an error message when attempting to attach additional pictures?
Edit:
Disregard my inquiry, I found a description in your classified ad:"Satin black OZ Ultra-Luggera centerlock wheels with Hossier R7 tires. Beautiful shape, used just one weekend by previous owner but, sadly, won't fit my car (991 GT3). To be clear, they do JUST clear the lower suspension arm but are too close for my comfort. The tires have picked up some melted rubber from the track (which will wear off quickly)."
19x8.5 53mm offset 235/35R19
19x12 63mm offset 325/30R19
Still curious if you have any fitment/clearance issues when driving hard.
Thanks.

I wish the back set out a little wider but I don't have any issues besides that. Suspension is a stock except a DSC controller. Tires are 235×35×19 front, 305x30x19 rear.
I can do solo pics but not more. Trying from my phone though. Might be different if I was on the computer.
