Default Radiator Grills

In doing a search it looks like there are several options for grills, e.g., Rennline, Zunsport, RGS & DIY. I'm leaning toward RGS (Radiator Grill Store) because they don't require removal of the bumper and are less expensive than Zunsport. Wondering if others who have used RGS are happy with them. TIA.

I just installed grill guards on mine. I bought mine from custom car grills. Front bumper has to be removed to install though. For me, I had to remove my front bumper to install my maxton spitter so its not a deal breaker for me.

I do not want to spend over $200 for zunsport. I think its a good value for $60 (for total 3 pieces, both sides and center)

unfortunately, custom grills doesn't make grills for 997.2. they look great. how tough was it to remove the bumper? saw a couple of DIY's on YouTube. Didn't seem real complicated but I have radar detector and camera mounted in the middle of the center grill.

I had no problem finding the information you want at https://www.zunsport.com/index.php?r...h&search=997.2

I bought my full set from them about 3 years ago and they look as good as the first day. They are surface mounted, really heavy gauge wire, plasti-coated and are a breeze to install. Since they're surface mounted and actually hide the radiator slats, you needn't do anything to the bumper. Another thing that I really, really like is that they mount almost flush to the bumper and thus follow its contours making look like a true "factory" install.

Here's what mine look like:

I’ve been thinking about getting the Zunsport grilles. I see that the current ones clip in and there is no screwing necessary for the center grille. Now that you have installed yours, do you think the center grille would hold up to occasional removal and re-installation to wash the area behind the mesh?

Truthfully, I've never removed mine but I don't see problems with the occasional removal you interest.

The tabs seem to be quite sturdy (as is the mesh) and should fair removal well. I must add that what holds the grilles are tabs that are part of the frame that follows the contours of the mesh. There are no separate "clips" used for that purpose.

All in all all I'm very, very pleased with them. Although they're quite expensive when compared with some of the some of the "homemade" alternatives some members have opted for, I'm of the mindset that cars of this caliber warrant nothing less. But hey... Different strokes for different folks!
