That looks great @415CPA ! I ended up returning mine to Bayson because I didn't like the grill. Looks like you shop cleaned it up nicely though.
@415CPA, do you have any close pics of the grill slats?
Correction: It appears the image I was referring to was of the Flying Ducktail lid, not the Bayson. Still, given andino's comments on his Bayson, I would still be very interested in seeing some straight on shots of the Bayson grill.

I took the plunge and got a Bayson ducktail. I was between this and Moshammers ducktail. I decided I liked the flying ducktail look a bit more (would obviously have loved to get the original but that does not look like it's going to happen) and the $1000 price difference over the moshammer was also a plus. I knew going in the grill may have some issues and it definatly needs some work. I am having my paint guy look it over to see if he thinks it can be fixed. The biggest flaws are in the area between the slats not so much the slats themselves. While the flaws are obvious up close when viewing from more than 2 feet away they really are not noticable. Even if my painter can't make it perfect I am planning on keeping it. I think with a bit of work it would not be to hard or cost to much to fab a grill out of aluminum.

These are the images to took of mine when I received it. The grills aren't horrible but the mounting area was rough too. Certainly could be fixed by a body shop but the labor wasn't cheap to get it to the standard I wanted. Plus I'd have to fav a grill up as the stock piece isn't great.

Ahh figured as much. Fit on that one looks decent but there's def issues reported on the top edge where the wing meets the third brake like cowl. The gap is larger than stock and slightly uneven. From the photos posted of both, I'd say the Bayson has better fitment if you can live with the grill or figure out a way to fab your own.

So the Bayson ducktail is interesting. Is this considered a flying ducktail as well? Does anyone have better shots of it painted and fitted?

I think you can use it like the flying ducktail / singer style. The only thing to note is there's no third brake light cutout in the Bayson R one. So if you want to retain that pop up brake light, you need your shop to put in some labor to make a pocket for it or you can run without it during the pop up. Alternatively, you could just code the wing to fixed and not deal with it. You'll probably want a fixed wing harness or figure out a way to rig pop up brake light somewhere so you don't throw a code. I think someone who installed the Bayson wing put it inside somewhere. Maybe he can provide some more details on how he did that.
