Default Windshield washer fluid pump

I have a 2009 997.2 with 56k miles and notice today my windshield fluid pump is not pumping out any fluid. You pull the right side stalk inward for the washer fluid spray correct? I filled the fluid reservoir but still nothing comes out. Any ideas on where to begin diagnosing this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

102k miles on this 997 now, so far the washer still sprays 😊 General advice says to avoid the RainX blue liquid as it tends to gum up, crystallize and ultimately clog the pipe.

Do you hear the pump humming when you pull the stalk? On my 2009 Audi I’ve had the pump go bad and replacing it was very easy - it was in the front left wheel well. I assume Porsche also uses the same pump 😝

Almost if not all windshield squirter systems have little check valves in them so the fluid doesn't run back to the reservoir and is ready to spray quickly when you pull the stalk. The little rubber ball in thee swells up over time and then can't move to the side in the check valve to let the liquid pass. If you have fluid in the reservoir, and hear the pump activate when you pull the stalk, start looking for where these check valves are using the PET diagram, disconnect the input line from it and try the squirter again. If fluid comes out of the line, that's your problem. Replace the check valve(s) and you should be all set.

Do you hear the pump operate when activated? That's your starting point. If I didn't hear it I'd pull LF wheel and liner off, then check for electrical power at the pump with a multimeter or test light. You'll need someone to actuate the stalk for this. If you've got good power at the pump then the pump's dead and needs replacement. If there's no power then you've got to go upstream electrically to find the fault.

If pump does operate then you've got a plumbing issue to sort.

Currently I hear no noise when I pull the stalk. I will check the wires for power and also the valve and hose to see if there's any clogging. Really appreciate everyone's help and will report back my findings.
