Default 997.2 paddle shift conversion

Hello all,
I want to convert this 2011 911 Carrera S to paddle shift. What is the best kit or wheel to buy?

The only kit I know of is one made by TechArt, but it was damn near as expensive as an actual steering wheel and I don't think they make it anymore: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/9468...ton-wheel.html

As regards a steering wheel, there's a variety of 3rd parties either making their own, or modifying Porsche wheels - but they're usually on the spendy side and as regards style, it's a matter of personal taste.

Personally I'd recommend an original Porsche wheel from a supplier like https://www.suncoastparts.com/category/9972s_pdkst.html

Karl.

Not sure if you mean to modify the current wheel (ie add paddles) or to switch the entire steering wheel to a paddle shift version?
Either way I agree with Karl's post above - switch to something like the Sport Design wheel from Suncoast https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/PDKPADDLE.html

I did this on mine several years back (see below) - It's a very easy 15 min DIY

You may be able to beat the price of the Suncoast wheel from either of these two depending on what they have in stock:

http://www.dallassteeringwheel.com/sw1.htm

http://www.dctms.com/product_ST_PCH.html

Also gives you the option to customize the thickness, color of stitching and leathers or alcantera of your choice. Might be worth a couple of phone calls. I'd be surprised if they can't beat $1,400 by a fairly wide margin as long as they have the wheel you want in stock.

I am in the process of doing this conversion. I am installing a 991.1 sport wheel on my 2009 997.2 C2S. I was able to find a wheel at a junk yard In LA
for $800.00. I’m having it reupholstered in cocoa brown and then it’s a plug and play install (original wheel is not mutlifuction).
