Thanks for the comments about lightening the car with the mods mentioned. That would for sure be a lot of fun. I'm hoping someone who's don't he VF supercharger mod can chime in here and tell me about their experiences.

If you are still interested, there is a VF SC facebook group, there are ~8-10 of us that actually have the kit in the group. I'd try to drive the kit on someone who has it before committing to it (we have owners on the east and west coasts). There are lower power limits on a VF SC car, vs a 997 TT . It is definitely fun to drive, but you have to be in higher RPM to be really building boost. Feel free to PM me.

Many years ago a friend had a supercharger added to his new 997S; probably around 2006. It was a royal PITA, for what it provided. The installers had to do some destructive work to get it to integrate, Within a couple of years he took it off. It just wasn’t worth the added risk and maintenance.
