New to me 997.2
After being P carless for a few years, (last was a Cayman), I just picked up this 997.2 C2S 6spd from the forum and thought I would share. The seller was great to work with and even connected me with the previous owner who had the car for 5 years to answer questions about its maintenance and how it was used.
Normally I do my own detailing and maintenance/modifications but I am currently building a new race car for NASA ST5 so I just don't have the time to work on two cars at once. I had the car detailed and ceramic coated by Gloss Boss in Houston before it shipped as well as had the maintenance bought up to date by Koby Motors. The car needed the old clear bra removed and alot of paint correction. The headlights were also pretty beat up so the detailer removed, refinished, and clear coated them. The car arrived and is in phenomenal condition. The detailing really brought it back to nearly new condition.
After driving the car for a few days, I found it pretty boring. Coming from an NSX and S2000, both of which have phenomenal shifters, the 911 just feels terrible. I talked to Numeric about it and ordered their shifter and cable kit and from discussion with them, it should really clean up the shifter. The car is also way too quiet so I ordered a Billy Boat center muffler delete and will be doing the gundo mod at the same time. The car looks great but has just a little too much fender gap so I ordered an Eibach Prokit to slightly lower it. I also installed 10mm/15mm ECS spacer which fill up the fenders nicely.
I think it will be an awesome car once I address the few small things I want to upgrade. Anyway, on to the pictures!

sweet pick up. all the changes mentioned should help a lot. one small nit to pick.. having both 911 and Carrera S on the decklid seems redundant, and also makes it busy. Maybe picking one or the other? Or even none at all. A subjective observation, granted. Either way, once you get it dialed in it'll really knock your socks off.

No, it looks like the "911" was added after the fact. I believe there was an option to have 911 in the place of Carrera S, but it would be in the same location as the Carrera S script.

Nice. I’m partial to Meteor Gray.
I loved my S2000 but found it to be pretty gutless unless I had the motor singing near redline. That’s fine every once in a while, but I found myself missing the torque that my previous sports cars had. The only thing I miss about my S2000 now is the appreciation it’s seen since I sold it.

The previous owner of my 997.2 did all of the mods you did except for the Numeric shifter. They should have made it this way from factory. I'm probably going to do the Numeric shifter next. Enjoy your new 911!
