Default Macan Steering Wheel Swap: What Years?

It's been confirmed Macan steering wheels are a direct swap in 997s, with an adapter required for 997.1s.

Besides the multi function buttons - are all Macan steering wheels plug and play (2014-2017?)? Are there any differences in airbag for that Macan generation?

From the parts diagram I'm seeing a difference in early and late Macans, and don't know if they made a change later that would prohibit this swap from happening.

There are also Panamera wheels of the same style - but no one has mentioned if they would bolt up.

Some very early ones might not work. See old threads created by me. The airbag plugs were different on a macan (unsure if macan or some other Porsche) wheel I got. I had put pictures of the difference and best if buying used to verify with pictures.

The Macan wheels are plug and play and you dont need an adapter for 997.1. I installed one on mine a few weeks ago.

is there a link or graph anywhere that shows which steering wheels are compatible with the 997.1 and/or 997.2 and if any other modification or adapter is required? I was sort of under the impression that the newer style wheels weren't compatible with the 997.1 without some sort of modification or adapter.

Could you list the part numbers of the items needed? I've the MF wheel in my 997 and could do with updating to the newer wheels.

Long story - but I got my hands on two steering wheels. Don't need one if anyone wants to do the swap:

Wow, you found two in one week!

Will the MF audio buttons work with PCM3.0?
