So what is up with this car. I feel like I've seen it for sale about 4 times? Seems to have a very mysterious history. Paint? Frame work? Other Damage? Who really knows.

It is a beautiful color, but did Beverly Hills buy it from the seller and up the price or was there a purchaser in-between? It should be on velocity's Auto-biography. Cool show for those who have not seen it.

$60k for 70k mile 997.2S? That's crazy high even for a car without some very questionable history.

Were alcantara seat inserts even an option? I'm assuming the steering wheel was switched after the first purchase, same with the seats?

Alcantara is standard on GTS, GT3, and others so yes I bet it was optional on Carrera S and it makes sense that a person who originally specced this car in a unique color would also choose other custom options.

Not sure if those grayed out wheels were an option but I like them on this color car.

This is a 30k car given the history. WTF are they smoking...misrepresentation is written all over this. This car stinks like something is wrong.

Clearly in a major accident with all the paint work, dent in the tub and a 997.1 steering wheel in a 997.2. From the quality of the paint work (sags and runs), the improper generation steering wheel and replaced seats with Alcantara that don't match the rear seats, it's clear this car was fixed on the cheap and is being sold at a price like its all original and pristine. The seats and steering wheel were probably changed due to airbag deployment) etc. The DME may log this event if you can look deep enough with the right tool.

Pretty color, but I agree the value of this car is in the $30s if that. Should really have a salvage title from what I see here.

I have heard mixed reviews about Beverly Hills Porsche. It makes me wonder why they would buy it then re-list it 7k over the last seller with all the above stated facts. Yeah something doesn't seem right. I know PTS is always a hot commodity, but enough to raise a 30k car to 60k? It does make me wonder.

From the original for sale thread:

"As much as it pains me to say because I was hoping to purchase the car and flew to California and got a ppi done which revealed the whole car has been painted including the roof and there were many paint drips. it has been on a frame machine at some point and also had a nice dent in the front tub. I will say it have a very clean dme report."

Something is wrong here, this looks like a total re-spray in Aetna Blue. That is NOT the original color. How do I know you may ask? First, I ordered a PTS aetna blue 997.2 in 2008 for model year 2009, was told at the factory I was the only one with this color for that year. second, I still own the car so this one is (in my opinion) not a factory PTS......

the first few things i noticed were

- rear badging in the wrong spot (id ask why it was removed)
- the bumper plastic protector pieces painted body color (should always be left black from factory)
- grills on a c2s should be back, never body color (while it's an oem option to have them match the car i believe it was for the WBs only)

there is paint work everywhere on this car.

The body shop receipts are posted on the RL ad. It was in a rollover accident. I would steer clear away from this 997.2.

WP0AB29919S722848

"Then on to the detailed line items:
Line 4 – Rpr (repair) front bumper cover – 2hrs
Line 10 – Repair Hood – 5hrs
Line 13 – Repair right fender – 2hrs
Line 16 – Repair left fender – 3hrs
Lines 24, 27, 28 – repair roof – 4hrs total
Line 30 – Repair left hinge pillar all – 15hrs
Line 35 – Repair left door – 3hrs
Line 44 – Repair right door 2hrs
Line 50, 57 – Repair left/right quarter panels – 6hrs total

Total body labor 57.8hrs
Paint labor 34hrs and the paint itself (materials) 34hrs.

Kickass color, no doubt, my props to the seller for being upfront about the car's history and I am sure he can clear up any further questions for a potential buyer over the phone."
