Default Shift **** cap

I have a chance to get al alcantera shift **** that is missing the shift pattern cap, I can use my existing one. Is it an easy pry off to remove the cap and than snap onto the other shift **** ?

From all DIY it looks like you need to pop the cap to remove the boot. So you will have it off to do the job.

The cap pops out easily with a pry tool. MAcarbon's website has detailed instructions on how to swap out all or part of the shift ****.

Use a plastic tool like a trim removal tool. Do NOT use a screwdriver... you will ding the plastic. I took a plastic trim tool and sanded it down razor sharp... then it slips on in.

You do not have to remove the cap to change the boot. The boot is held on below the **** by a twist ring.

As Bruce said, the cap pops off separately.
