Default 997.2 Carrera S Coupe Manual Price check

Hi,

owned several 997, now moved to 991 but itching for another 997, specifically a 997.2 carrera S coupe in manual.
What is a realistic price for a nice example, clean carfax, let's say 60-70k miles?

Sold my previous 997.2 4s manual convertible for 42k (it had 83k miles) a year ago but it was not cosmetically perfect and had an accident on carfax.

To me 997 is just perfect.

I know prices are on the rise especially for a manual coupe and there are not many for sale.
50k plus?

Let me know your thoughts.

thanks

Was kinda thinking of mine (just pondering at the moment) as I want to upgrade to a GT3 or RS.(997 only)
I'm guessing/thinking mid 50's
Arctic Silver, 29k, 6 Spd, sea blue (dark) blue interior, C2S, 2011

From what I gather, that would be in the neighborhood

I think low 40s would be a high mileage car fax ding car. Prob closer to 50k for a nicely optioned, 30k clear history vehicle.

I'm seeing some in the upper 40s with mid-range miles. Low miles is mid-50s and up ask price, for the most part. No idea if they are actually selling for this.

EDIT: The cars are still depreciating. If you wait you'll get a better price when more of the 50k mile cars come on the market. Most everything I'm seeing now is under 40k, lots of ~20k cars with big mileage premiums. If you don't want to wait, just pay the premium. I probably will. I doubt the depreciation curve is going to go a hell of a lot lower on these cars anyway. I'm not going to claim to be an expert but I think you'll need to wait a few years if you want to get one for $40k.

The 2019-2020 Buyer's Guide published by Excellence Magazine arrived this week. Price range for 2009-2011 C2S shows $45-60K. For comparison it shows the C2 (what I have) range $40-50K. Mine's a manual with reasonable miles (42K), so think she'd fetch mid to upper 40s were I to sell.

I've just been tracking the 997.2 market for a few weeks. What it's seeming like is a lot of dealers asking mid-50s for low-ish mile cars and having them sit for a long time. Upper 40s to low 50s sells fast. the inventory is generally low for these cars right now, as well, so some are probably still selling at the higher prices. You need to be on the ball to get one on the lower end.

There's a CPO 2011 C2 Cab MT with 35k miles for $49,500 on Long Island right now. Upper 40s for a PP with 42k is optimistic. Of course, it only matters if you sell.

OP, Regarding
>owned several 997, now moved to 991 but itching for another 997

Do you own 991.1 or 991.2 ? I too feel 997.2 is way better than 991.1 but torn between 997.2 and 991.2.. If you own 991.2 what is it you don't like about it ?

Hi,

i owned a 991.1 carrera with pdk and a 991.1 GT3 (this is different animal).
Now i own a 991.2 carrera pdk.
991.2 is great car and much faster than a 997.2 in manual but to me 997 are way more raw and fun.
I will keep the 991.2 that is cpo until 2024 with unlimited miles but i want to add back to the stable a 997.2 carrera s.
